He releases his captives—young women imprisoned in his dungeon—and takes them to a giant chessboard in the castle courtyard. But this is no ordinary chess game. With a vampire opponent sitting across from him, Dracula replaces the chess pieces with his prisoners, turning the game into a deadly contest where each move could cost a life.
As Dracula plays this macabre game, accompanied by his young bride, he uses the cruel spectacle to convey a deeper message about his view of death.
